Hi Lucia,
I used this quote too by Sandy Escobedo, as one that motivated me. This quote gives child care providers and/or teachers a different level of respect and sought of a new meaning. Being a child care professional is much more than a position or job title, rather, it is again similar to the control/power that a parent may have. There are lives placed in our hands that makes us accountable for building up or tearing down. Prayerfully we will all do what is best for every individual we have the pleasure of molding.
I love the quote that a person's passion comes from wanting to make a difference. I can greatly relate to that quote because I do not only want to make a difference in a child's life but in the parent's life as well. I just want to be an inspiration to others and help them to believe in themselves and to not ever give up!
Raymond Hernandez had such a powerful quote! We should all feel the same way as educators. We should be making a difference every time we go to work. Sandy Escobedo has a powerful statement. We have the luckiest jobs on the planet in my opinion. We have the awesome responsibility to mold and shape our future.
