I would like to share my personal birth experience one year ago. It was a long process for me. I went in labor at 11:00 pm and delivered on next day 2:20 pm. Doctor suggested me to have c-section during childbirth. My husband and I both think natural childbearing is better for our baby and my midwife also said I still can do it. After I tried my best with my midwife guiding and injection of Oxycontin, my baby was born. At that moment, I felt so relax and pleasure. Everything is worth.
I've read article about the advantage of natural childbirth compare with c-section for a baby. That's why I persisted.

Lucia,
You were a very brave and strong woman to be in labor for that amount of time - I don't have any kids but I know I would be so tired to have been trying to have a baby for that long. But that is really good that you didn't let the doctors or anyone else change your mind about how you felt towards having a C-section. I know whenever I have my first baby I am going to be a research queen on the most healthy and safest way to give birth. That's really cool that you had a midwife, I've never met someone who had one. Congrats on your baby!
I'm happy that you decided to go forth with a vaginal birth. The C-Section takes longer to recover from and I believe changes your birthing experience. Usually C-Sections are done when complications arise. Luckily you were able to endure the long delivery without complications.
